The Fine Print

3 teams of 2 (horse and charioteer) will compete in each heat. The ''horse'' will be placed on a tricycle to which a "chariot" is tethered. The ''chariot'' will be some wheeled device that can accommodate the "charioteer". Charioteers will be armed with American Gladiator style jousts.

Teams for each heat will be picked randomly, but care will be taken to ensure that the competitors assume the horse and the charioteer role 3 times each. Races will begin, signaled by the blast of a cannon, on the straightaway and finish after a turn. During the race, the charioteers are able to hit anything except the ''horse''. To be more specific, the tricycle is fair game, but the competitor operating it is not. Grinding chariots and horses together is perfectly legal and encouraged. Throwing sticks into the spokes of the "horse" is forbidden. If a charioteer falls out of his chariot, the horse must stop and wait for a ''remount'' before he can continue. Charioteers can not touch each other except with their jousts, even in close proximity.

The winning team will get 3 points each, and 2nd and 3rd place will get 2 and 1 points each respectively. Each competitor will participate in 6 races (3 as the horse, and 3 as the charioteer) for a maximum total point count of 18. There will be a 3 point bonus to the team with the fastest time of the day. There will also be 2 points given to the heaviest team. (hopefully to compensate for unlucky drawing)

The 3 Bs (Beers, Burgers, and Brahts) will be cooking in the ''assembly area.'' Well, the beer won't be cooking. If all 16 competitors are able to make it, then we'll have 16 races exactly. There will be 8 minutes between races, so the event should take about 3 hours.
